REALITY NEWS
5:30PM All A-list Celebrities rendez vous
at Karon Shea Modeling Agency Studios
This included Sharks Right Wingers Ashton Rome and Riley Armstrong,
Shea Models, Kelsey Hill, and Kerry Mulcahy, the Paparazzi, John
Lenis from Photography by John, Christina Andrianopoulos host of
Dining Out MetroWest and Karon Shea Style Segment host and owner
of Shea Enterprises.
Christina gives brief review of the evening, and then they head
out to the stretch Escalade limo provided by AA limousine of Shrewsbury
Ma. STepping inside the limo was as if we left the planet and entered
Jupiter...with the neon lights flashing and fire place on, it made
us all feel so elegant and got us in the mood to paint the town.
Riley exclaimed, "This is even better than my apartment!"
To get everyone warmed up and relaxed Christina suggested to the
chauffeur that we drive around town a bit, since we were a bit early
for our Grande entrance to Bocado our first stop which was also
the Chamber of Commerce Biz after Hours that evening.
6:00PM Arrival at Bocado and Grande Entrance
The Chauffeur escorts Christina, and Karon and John pops out to
prepare to take the photos of the celebrities exiting the limo.
John proceeds to start snapping the photos and a big crowd stops
to see what is going on. The models adorned in full length silver
foxes, compliments of Shea and Andrianopoulos, look stunning towering
Greek Goddess statuettes over 6 feet tall. Both the handsome Sharks
players and the models make stunning couples. The crowd at the door
part to let the celebrities in. John snaps a few photos of guests
at the door.
Inside Bocado the bustling of the crowd starts silencing in waves
as people look to the entrance and wonder who these beautiful people
are. We get our name tags from the Chamber hostess and we proceed
to enter the crowded restaurant. John the true Paparazzi snaps photos
until the celebrities feel like they gone blind with all the flashes.
They position themselves on the first level by the bar and John
proceeds to take photos with various Biz after Hours VIPs, photos
included President Dick Kennedy, Director Cindy Skowyra, owner extraodinaire
Mike Covino who gave us all a great warm welcome, owner of the Sharks
Michael Lehr, Paul Giorgio, David Fleming of the Worcester Tennis
Club/Curry Printing (one of In the Know partners), and many, many
more. Check out our photo gallery to see all the photos that night
at Bocado.
7:15PM Time to move on....
Everyone was treated to some exquisite fancy cocktails that Bocado
specializes and after about an hour and a half of schmoozing and
tastings of wonderful Bocado Tappas, it was time to make our Grande
Exit.
Amidst a huge fanfare, the celebrities are escorted out to the waiting
limo and we enter our space galaxy chariot for our next stop...Tribeca
Restaurant on Shrewsbury Street. We managed to pick up a couple
of guests one of them being Dr. Elizabeth Stefos, Chiropractor to
the stars, and warmed up and relaxed, Ashton who is in charge of
the super stereo in the limo starts blasting great rock and roll
music...we rocked and sang (loudly) doing a pretty silly Kareoke
imitation with rolled napkins as mics....until the next landing...and
we bet the limo itself was rocking as if it was dancing on the road
to Tribeca...Worcester that is not Manhattan!
7:30P Tribeca sighting....
The limo is parked right in the front taking up almost two street
blocks (kidding but it is about 25 feet long), and we are greeted
with great fanfare by Brian Duggan and Steven Greene owners of Tribeca.
Our celebrities had never been to Tribeca so Brian gave us a divine
tour and we stopped at the upper level bar and of course, more photos
being snapped by John. The guests again steered wondering who the
heck were these statuettes models and the strong athletes escorting
them. Riley, who constantly was quipping subtle jokes...that we
finally was getting his very dry sense of humor (dryer than a dry
martini) made us laugh.
Starved from all the fanfare, everyone ordered from the great bistro
menu of Tribeca at the reserved table near the wonderful piano player
who serenaded us throughout the evening. it took about our second
drink at Tribecas to get everyone singing along with the music.
More photo opts took place with more guests of the restaurant...and
within 30 minutes as we continued to look to the bar area of the
bistro, it was filling up like crazy. Within an hour of arrival
it was almost as packed as it was at Bocado earlier.
Many people had come from the previous engagement and they all came
up to the celebrities and talked to them. Ashton relayed, "This
is so much fun...I am having a blast and most of all I like singing
along to the piano music." Riley threw a dry remark, which
had us laughing again...and Kelsey and Kerry's million dollar smiles
were almost as dazzling as the John's camera.
The group dined on three different Steak dinners including, Tenderloin
steak tips, surf and turf and more. Ashton who is from Canada and
whose dad owns a steer farm had never had lobster So John convinced
him to eat the lobster special. He was amazed at how good it was...that
was great since our A-list celebrity was able to experience, lobster
at our reality series. Also everyone had iceburg lettuce salad with
blue cheese crumb dressing, calamari with marinade sauce, and much,
much more...I don't think anyone was hungry after that.
9:30P Bewitching Hour--Finale..Boo Hoo
Conscious of her models and the lateness of the time, Karon Shea
reminded us that this great night MUST COME TO AN END... Karon was
right...glad to have someone who can keep the fun on track...Everyone
was having a great time, but it was time to end the first "A-list
Celebrity Paint the Town" reality series. The celebrities were
all whisked away back into our space galaxy limo and now, everyone
knows each other really well and we are feeling very comfortable...and
even getting Riley's jokes, we blasted the music on the stereo and
sang at the top of our lungs (at least we faked the words but the
meaning was there) to Christina Aguileri's new song "Hurt."
Does this mean that Dining Out MetroWest should start a A-list Idol
contests soon???? We'll see.
9:45PM Back to home base...Houston we've landed!
Everyone goes back to Karon's studio, talk about the next
steps which is to get the celebrities on the air to report live.
Kelsey, Ashton, and Riley will be on this Saturday to report "in
their own words" about this very successful evening....
Look for the celebrities comments coming soon.....and hope you join
us for the next Celebrity A-list Paint the Town episode...As Barbara
Houle from the T & G stated in her article on Thursday, any
Wannabee Celebs out there??? Please submit nominations and who knows
you may be picked for one of these evenings out.
